Sellectronics recently took home the title of SME of the Year at the prestigious national manufacturing awards hosted by Make UK. This honour came after their initial win in the South West regional category.
On January 30th, 2025, the team headed to London for the ceremony that evening. It was a memorable night for everyone as Sellectronics claimed the top spot during an event on the River Thames aboard the Dixie Queen paddle steamer.
Make UK, representing over 20,000 manufacturing businesses, organized the awards which celebrated UK-wide company achievements.
Starting as a small firm, Sellectronics has grown into a leading SME manufacturer in the South West, now serving high-profile clients like Airbus. The company produces for sectors demanding high reliability, such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, and Medical.
Impressing judges with its rapid growth, innovative spirit, and dedication to culture, Sellectronics has seen its turnover double twice since 2020, consistently hitting seven figures annually. Their approach to customer flexibility and agility has fostered many successful long-term partnerships.
Beyond business, Sellectronics invests in its community, supporting local sports teams and committing to carbon neutrality by 2035.
Jon Hurrell, Managing Director, expressed pride in representing Cornwall and the South West, attributing the win to his team’s adaptability and hard work.
Kerri-Anne Mruk, Region Director for Make UK, highlighted the importance of dynamic companies like Sellectronics in growing the economy and ensuring a bright future for the sector in the South West.
Congratulations to the entire Sellectronics team on this remarkable achievement!
